Job Overview:           A leading Seismic Services Company is seeking a Junior Seismic Processor to work alongside senior level seismic processors to carry out processing tasks. Applicants are invited with a first degree in Geophysics, Physics or related disciplines and at least 1-year industry seismic processing experience OR/AND a related Master’s degree with some understanding of geophysical processing techniques. The Company are aware that you will need training in new disciplines and products and are fully committed to providing all necessary training.
 
The Company has built a strong reputation over the last few decades, as a key leader in integrated seismic services. They provide innovative services ranging from Multi-Client to Seismic Imaging services from offices in four continents. 
 
The demand for the Company’s seismic processing services is increasing and hence the need for further expansion. The Company offers a full range of seismic imaging techniques, including land and marine processing and inversion studies.
 
The Company has provided 3D and 2D pre-stack depth migration services globally for over a decade. In recent years, they have invested heavily in depth imaging capabilities and have amassed global expertise of different data sets and depth imaging techniques. Their experienced depth imaging teams use leading industry Pre-Stack Depth Migration and grid tomography software for processing and leading industry velocity modelling software for efficient and coherent 3D velocity modelling of both 3D and 2D Surveys.
 
As a Junior Seismic Processor your primary responsibility will be to undertake aspects of seismic processing projects, taking on more responsibility as you progress in your career. You will work alongside senior processing geophysicists, using leading edge industry and proprietary technologies. This role will allow you to quickly gain exposure to a wide range of seismic issues and challenges surrounding seismic processing, good service delivery protocol, project management and client liaison.
 
 
Responsibilities:        Reporting to the Group Leader, your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
·      Become competent in the use of the Company’s technologies, workflows and practices.
·      Become aware of the Company’s quality assurance procedures and ensure that these are adhered to.
·      Undertake seismic quality assurance and basic processing tasks initially under the supervision of senior geophysicists.
·      As you progress in your career, undertake more advanced tasks and independently. 
·      Be involved in preparing and presenting findings to clients.
·      Adopt good project management practices as you will manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
·      Be proactive in developing your skills and experience – seek out information and support.
·      Strive to achieve a high level of satisfaction at all stages of your tasks.
·      Participate in internal training sessions.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
·        A first degree in Geophysics, Physics or related disciplines with at least 1-year industry related work experience OR/AND an MSc degree in a related disciplines advantageous
·        Understanding of basic geophysical techniques essential.
·        Knowledge of Prestack Migration, AVO, signal processing, attribute analysis and/or interpretative processing, advantageous.
·        Some work or academic/research experience in seismic processing highly advantageous.
·        Previous experience in using a processing software package highly advantageous (e.g. GeoDepth, Omega, GeoVecteur, Focus, Promax).
·        Can work independently and also be an excellent team player, with the ability to work with all levels within the Company to accomplish goals. . 
·        Ability and confidence to liaise with clients as required.
·        Strong presentation and communication skills.
·        Attention to detail and processes.
·        Highly flexible – ability to adapt to new project challenges and work practices
·        Drive and ambition to achieve fast track career.
·         Must be service orientated.
 
Package:                     An attractive salary of between £25K-30K plus company benefitsis on offer dependent on skills and experience.
