Job Overview:           A leading Seismic Services Company is seeking a Seismic Processor to undertake 2D and 3D marine seismic processing projects. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 3 years processing background and exposure to a variety of seismic processing techniques.
 
The Company has built a strong reputation over the last few decades, as a key leader in integrated seismic services. They provide innovative services ranging from Multi-Client to Seismic Imaging services from offices in four continents. 
 
The demand for the Company’s seismic processing services is increasing and hence the need for further expansion. The Company offers a full range of seismic imaging techniques, including land and marine processing and inversion studies.
 
The Company has provided 3D and 2D pre-stack depth migration services globally for over a decade. In recent years, they have invested heavily in depth imaging capabilities and have amassed global expertise of different data sets and depth imaging techniques. Their experienced depth imaging teams use leading industry Pre-Stack Depth Migration and grid tomography software for processing and leading industry velocity modelling software for efficient and coherent 3D velocity modelling of both 3D and 2D Surveys.
 
As an experienced seismic processor your primary responsibility will be to undertake and lead seismic processing projects. Working along side some of the most respected processing geophysicists in the industry, on technically demanding projects, you will quickly gain exposure to a wide range of seismic challenges, leading geophysical technologies and established consulting practices.
 
Responsibilities:        Reporting to the Group Leader, your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
·     Become competent in the use of the Company’s technologies, workflows and practices.
·     Undertake various pre-migration time processing projects using leading edge industry and proprietary technologies.
·     Build and develop good working relationships with clients – liase with clients on a routine basis (meetings, Status reports etc.).
·     Management and supervision of junior members of staff as required.
·     As you progress, you will supervise projects, including thorough quality control of results.
·     Be proactive in improving service delivery, striving to achieve a high level of satisfaction at all stages of the delivery.
·     Be proactive in promoting technically sound processing practices amongst the team.
·     Keep abreast of current industry processing trends and practices and share these developments with team members.
·     Impart knowledge and experience to more junior staff.
·     To deputise in absence of supervisor if required.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
·      A Degree in Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Physics or related Discipline essential. Geophysics preferred.
·      A minimum of 3 years in 2D or/and 3D marine seismic processing essential.
·      Knowledge of Prestack Migration, AVO, signal processing, attribute analysis and/or interpretative processing essential.
·      Articulate, with good leadership skills – the ability to translate technical instructions to successful deliverables essential.
·      Strong appreciation of processing project workflows from requirement definition to delivery. 
·      Land processing highly desirable.
·      Experienced in using a mainstream industry processing application such as Promax (highly desirable), GeoDepth, Omega, GeoVecteur, Focus, etc. essential.
·      Experience of 3D visualisations tools desirable.
·      Motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
·      Can work independently and also be an excellent team player, with the ability to work with all levels within the Company to accomplish goals. 
·      Strong communication skills.
·      Highly flexible – ability to adapt to new project challenges and work practices.
·      Must be service orientated.
 
Package:                     An attractive salary of between £40K-45K plus company benefitsis on offer dependent on skills and experience.
