An international operator with operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, UK, North and South America require a geologist to join their rapidly growing team.
Requirements:
· 10 - 15 years experience of hands on industry experience
· Experience in rock analysis and basin modelling
· Experience in volumetric estimation
· Evaluation of exploration opportunities with the ability to characterize basins, plays and leads during the country-basin screen and scope phases. New country capture. Prospect Generation & Development . Petroleum System Analysis . Depositional Systems Analysis . Geochemical Analysis
· Superior technical skills in Petroleum Geology with a strong understanding of related subsurface disciplines and technologies
· Generate new exploration concepts and identify target markets or assets for exploration.
· Assist in the development of appropriate entry strategies for selected opportunities
· Identify and recommend potential new ventures exploration opportunities.
· Liaison and coordinate with other teams, in-house specialists, contractors and consultants. Engage and monitor work by specialists and specialist contractors as and when needed
· Clearly communicate and document project results and recommendations.
· Provide input to Peer Assists and Peer Reviews for other projects as needed
· Support and participate in Health Environment Safety (HES) initiatives and ensure compliance with the agreed HES procedures and practices of all activities in areas of discipline responsibility
The position will be based in Norway.
