Job Description

Primary responsibility is to generate revenue for the company whilst obtaining and maintaining the value of Multi-Client assets.  Additionally, you will be responsible for generating new Multi-Client projects and identifying New Ventures opportunities.  You will need to guide projects from creation to completion.  Drive business development activities by recommending additional solutions to client organisations.  Assist the Vice President with mentoring and developing Sales Manager and Project Developers on the team.
  • Members of the Sales Team are responsible for individual contribution to a revenue budget from $6 million to $100 million (USD)
Project Development
  • Create  a pipeline of new projects
  • Co-ordinates the design, acquisition and processing of the projects with other business of the projects with other business units
  • Manages relationships with NOC and Government Groups
  • Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Communicates and interacts with current and potential clients on a regular basis
Sales and Contracts
  • Generates revenue whist maximizing the value of the existing data
  • Develops and maintains strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Actively recruits new client base and identifies potential decision makers
  • Participates in client entertainment and industry related functions
  • Utilises subject matter expertise to influence additional sales of data
  • Negotiates Contracts and Master Service Agreements with the support of legal and contracts business partner
  • Manages the sales process utilising the support team and co-ordinates their efforts to ensure consistent high service levels
  • Communicates and interacts with current and potential clients on a regular basis
Communication
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff
  • Interact with the business unit and to the support functions
  • Effectively communicate outside of the team with the New Ventures Group and the Geomarkets groups
Leadership
  • Assists in the mentoring and development of less experienced Sales Manager and Project Develpers on the team

Job Requirements

  • Science Degree or other formal technical or business education
  • Typically 10 years+ internal or external experience in applicable field of expertise, ideally in the geophysical services industry
  • Experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Mentors and develops other Sales Managers and Project Developers
Travel will be required within the Europe business unit market as well as teh possibility of training and / or meetings in Houston, Texas.
